Clover Meds specializes in providing custom-compounded medications. These are prepared in pharmacies licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy for sterile compounding or in FDA-recognized 503(a) Outsourcing Facilities. Although these establishments adhere to stringent regulations, the custom-compounded medications they produce are not endorsed by the FDA. This is because they are uniquely formulated according to a specific medical provider’s prescription for an individual patient. Factors like strength, dosage, method of administration, and other aspects may vary, making a direct comparison between the effects and risk profiles of FDA-approved medications and compounded medications challenging. Any prescribed compounded medications are based on the medical discretion of a licensed provider following a telehealth consultation and review of the patient's medical history.
